Common problems when removing slatted floors from molds:
-
Rough or chipped hole edges
If the release agent is not sprayed evenly or doesn’t work properly, the concrete will stick to the mold cores (the parts that form the holes). When you try to pull the floor out, the edges of the holes can tear off, leaving sharp bumps or chips. This can hurt animals’ feet or even damage their nipples when they walk on it. -
Hidden cracks and weak spots
If the floor sticks to the mold in some places, workers have to hit it hard with hammers, pry bars, or high-pressure air guns to get it out. This banging and prying can cause tiny cracks inside the floor that you can’t see. These hidden cracks make the floor weaker over time, and it may suddenly break under heavy animals. -
Rough surface with pits and bubbles
Using cheap or poor-quality release agent (especially if it’s too thick or spread unevenly) will leave the floor surface rough, with small holes (pits) and bubbles. This rough surface traps manure and dirt. You can’t wash it off easily, so waste stays there, bacteria grow, and animals get sick.
What our release agent does:
Our product gives you perfect, easy release. You can dilute it with diesel at a ratio of 1 part release agent to 20–40 parts diesel. It forms a thin, strong, and even film on the mold surface — even around the complex hole areas. After demolding, your slatted floors will have smooth, bubble-free surfaces and even colors. No sticking, no damage, no rough spots.
