Description

High-Molecular-Weight Tear-Resistant Elastomer for EVA Foam Shoe Soles
high-molecular-weight tear-resistant elastomer designed for EVA foam and high-performance footwear applications. It improves the compatibility and interfacial bonding of EVA foam systems through chemical interaction, helping form a synergistic network of elastomer toughening and hard-segment reinforcement. This structure enables more uniform dispersion within the EVA continuous phase and significantly improves the overall mechanical performance of the foamed material.
Designed for EVA foam shoe soles, running shoe midsoles, sports footwear and other high-performance foam applications, it helps transform brittle tearing behavior into more ductile tearing behavior. Its flexible segments absorb tear energy and help inhibit crack propagation, while rigid segments strengthen the polymer interface. Depending on the formulation and addition ratio, tear resistance can typically be improved by 60–80%.
In addition to improving tear strength and tear resistance, OSL-UHT-9331 supports better processing fluidity during EVA foaming and helps reduce uneven cell formation. The material can also improve sole rebound performance, with a rebound rate of ≥55%, while contributing to improved abrasion resistance, heat-shrinkage control and overall durability.
